The ask was simple: stop the bed looking like furniture pushed up to a wall.

Instead of a headboard, the whole wall became one piece. Upholstered panels run the full height in a soft ivory, and the bed frame is made as part of them, so from the doorway there is no seam between where the wall stops and the bed begins.
Warm LED is recessed into the panel joints. You see the light on the fabric and never the source, and it dims low enough to leave on through the night.
Walnut millwork carries the same profiles around the corner, and the nightstands were drawn at the same time in the same finish so nothing in the room looks bought separately.
